Not a lot of readers are aware that MEGA and Laurel’s relationship goes way back. In 1993, many took notice of his illustrations, which became a mainstay in MEGA’s glossy pages during that time. The original sketches showcased his aesthetic, and later on, this launched his career in the fashion industry. Aside from this, he also took part in the MEGA Young Designers Competition (YDC), and he then made it to the finals with his skill and determination.

It was inevitable that the designer would only create ready-to-wear pieces for the Filipina woman. He then built House of Laurel, which continues to push boundaries to this day. Since the beginning of his career, Laurel’s couture creations have reminded individuals of the limitless possibilities out there.
