Here’s What’s New With The New Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

Around the same time last year, Google released their smartest phone at the time, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. It has one of the most amazing camera in the market and the best Android display among other brands.

Today, Google unveils the only thing they’ve been working on this year. Turns out, it’s not only a new phone, but two more Google gadgets. Rick Osterloh, Google hardware division head introduces their smartest phone of today the Google Pixel 3, their first ever tablet that functions like a desktop the Pixel Slate, and the Google Home Hub which is Google’s first home assistant. This time, we will talk about the smartest smart phone Google has today.

Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL

This time, the design of the Pixel 3 appears more modern, omitting the thick bezels. The Pixel 3’s screen is 5.3 inches with a thin straight line on top of the screen, while the XL is 6.3 inches with an obviously lesser bezels with a thin “notch” that’s similar of the iPhone X.

Now, the cameras of the new models are really noticeable. Although the Pixel 2 has made impeccable performance with its 12.2 MP single lens rear camera, and the current market leads the trend with at least dual lens cameras from its competitors, the both the Pixel 3 and 3 XL  sticks with a 12.2 MP single lens rear camera. However, its front camera rides the dual lens trend with an 8 MP f/1.8 28mm wide lens and an 8 MP  f/2.2, 19mm ultra wide lens. The new Super Zoom Res feature provides the best phone camera zoom once could ever have. The Night Sight feature, on the other hand, provides the best performance for extreme low light conditions.

Although we are expecting to take good photos from all these new features, the new Top Shot feature filters out the bad photos taken.

Also similar to the Pixel 2, the fingerprint sensor remains at the back of the Pixel 3 and 3 XL which Google claims to be the most secured and reliable authentication method for its users compared to the face ID or iris scanner from its competitors.

After all these improvements from its predecessor, the Pixel 3 remains to be relatively affordable at $799 for the Pixel 3 64GB and $899 for its 128GB variant. While the Pixel 3 XL is priced at $899 for 64GB and $999 for the 128 variant.

The Pixel 3 and 3XL is available for pre-order at the Google US website. Shipping begins in October 18, 2018.
