The stars have aligned once more as Louis Vuitton’s newly dropped men’s line finally arrived in Manila.
It’s safe enough that Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh has quite achieved making the storied French house more modern and current. Given that luxury fashion is an ever-evolving game, he has impressed quite a handful of critics—but it isn’t enough. With some of his latest trendsetting creations from leather harnesses to neon clips, some argue it just doesn’t cater to everyone.
In this light, he has launched a new permanent menswear line called Staples Edition. It is a standalone collection that’s inspired by the idea of wardrobe staples. It defines the essential garments and accessories that form the foundation of a man’s dress components.
The Staples Edition can actually be identified through four ways of branding: a metal staple, a triangular tab, a leather label attached to a carabiner, and a single button stitched in the image of the logo. So as our wardrobe essentials are now elevated through the luxury lens of Louis Vuitton, Abloh has created a line that’s undeniably perfect for the Millennials.
Come to think of it, perhaps that’s why we are seeing a lot of Millennial celebrities either strutting the metropolis in a Louis Vuitton ensemble or toting a bag from the luxury label. And recently, we actually got to prove our claim as we spotted all the stylish guests at the exclusive launch of “Staples by Louis Vuitton.”
